Milton Public Library provides ECHO, Birds of Vermont Museum, Vermont History Museum, Vermont State Historic Sites and Vermont States Parks, Shelburne Farms, and Shelburne Museum passes on a first come, first served basis to Milton residents with a Milton Public Library card. Call the library at 802-893-4644 to reserve the pass the day before or on the day you wish to use it. Passes are due back the same day, in the book return behind the library. Failure to return the pass the same day could result in loss of the privilege to check out the passes. Patrons are financially responsible for lost passes.

ECHO

ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, formerly the Lake Champlain Basin Science Center, is an science and nature museum located on the Burlington waterfront in northern Vermont.  Open daily from 10am to 5pm.  Visit https://www.echovermont.org/ for more information.

Birds of Vermont Museum

The Birds of Vermont Museum provides one free admission with one paid admission. The museum is open May 1 through October 31, Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Closed for July 4 holiday.

Vermont History Museum

The Vermont History Museum pass allows for free admission for a family. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Visit https://vermonthistory.org/museum/ for more information.

Vermont State Parks

The Vermont State Parks pass provides free entry into Vermont State Park day-use areas, for up to eight people in one vehicle. Day-use areas are open 10 a.m. to sunset.

Vermont State Historic Sites

The Vermont State Historic Sites pass provides free entry into six state historic sites for one family or group up to eight people.

  • Bennington Battle Monument State Historic Site (Ground Floor Only)
    • Friday to Monday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Chimney Point State Historic Site
    • Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site
    • Friday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Mount Independence State Historic Site
    • Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site
    • Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Senator Justin Morrill State Historic Site
    • Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center
    • Hours are 10 am – 5 pm, seven days a week. Price for admission using the ECHO pass is $7 per person up to 4 people.

Shelburne Museum

The Shelburne Museum pass allows for 1/2 off regular admission price for two adults and up to four accompanying children 17 and under and does not include any other discounts. At least one visitor per group must be a Milton Public Library patron. Anyone using the pass must present their library card or valid Vermont ID.
